I was waiting for a new Amly and The Sniffers album for a long time and as singles were coming out it became clear that Cartoon Darkness will be different.
The band matured, the album is polished, and they explore different things.
I love the album and it’s one of the main albums for long car drives, but the energy is different and the raw insanity that attracted me to the band seems more controlled now.
I was a bit sad for a moment because I don’t want to imagine a world without their energy, but here they are. A new live from KEXP just landed and it’s all still there, the energy, the performance, exactly the thing that made me fall in love with the band.
Can’t wait to see them live!
